Throbbing headache 15 year old

Hi I have a 15 year old son and he is having throbbing pain in the back of his head.  He is tired and sleeping but his head is hurting, Tylenol and Advil do not help. Low appetite and just lack of energy.

Did your son hit his head recently?  Perhaps playing sports and jolted his head or got bumped?

How long has he had this headache (H/A)?
Is it on one side or both sides of his head?
Any change in his vision?
Is he nauseous?
Is his sensitive to the light (the light makes the H/A worse)?
Is he sensitive to noise?

What makes the H/A better?
What makes the H/A worse?

Does he have any other symptoms, like cold symptoms?

I strongly suggest that you bring him to his doctor to be seen.  He needs to be examined and perhaps have some testing done on him.  Please let us know how he is doing.

Hello,

How is your son's headache now, is it better? I would suggest that you see a chiropractor, he could have some spinal misalignments or cervical misalignments. Chiropractors are pretty familiar with all types of headaches.

If it continues and worsens, and he is nauseous, then see the pediatrician

Is it one-sided, double sided? Where the pain is located exactly?
