Thyrodectomy/ Thyroxine

I am 33 yrs with 3 kids. I had a surgical operation to remove thyroid when i was 18 yrs. Now my throat
seems to be getting big, not only that my friends are telling me too. Recently about a week now i have been having
dryness of throat with out any symptoms.

Our family doctor adviced that i start taking thyroxine medication. My question is could the dryness of throat be as
a result of the thyroid and will this medication be a solution. Any other remedies will be welcomed from the forum.
I am also a working mum (work up to 12 hrs a day) could stresss contribute to this??
