Uncomfortable feeling

I have a feeling that I have swallowed a large pill that got stuck somewhere and I feel it in my back. Does anyone know what might cause that? I do experience a little more burping than usual.
BTW I did not swallow any pill.

These symptoms can be a result of frequent indigestion which has caused the esophogus to narrow. Repeated reflux of gastric acid can scar the esophogus making food and drink difficult to swallow or allowing it to give the feeling of something stuck in the back of your throat or chest. Contact your PCP to follow up.
