Urination Problems

Is it normal for an eleven year old girl to have the constant feeling of needing to urinate, but have nothing come out or have very little come out? I'm worried and it doesn't exactly hurt. So much as annoying, really. It's freaking me out right now. Help? I'm feeling moody, scared, worried, and hopeless.

Hi there,

It's not normal for a 11 year old no, but you have nothing to be worried about!

Urinary urgency may suggest you have a urinary tract infection which is VERY COMMON for girls/women. Best idea is to chat to your parents/guardian about it, as Doctor surgeries cannot see children by themselves.

If its a urinary infection, youll get to pee in a cup and the specimen will be tested on site at the clinic, you will then be given antibiotics to take for 10 days. (2 tablets a day with food)
