Both could definitely be signs of a urinary tract infection, possibly gone onto a bladder infection.  See your doctor as soon as possible and be sure to mention about the discomfort when pressing on the bladder area.

I hope you feel better soon.

I does sound like a urinary tract infection - they, unfortunately, are very easy to get, partly because of the way teh female body is made.  Also, if you use tampons during your period, and your flow is not very much, so when you take the tampon out is is partially dry, you could have irritated yourself and bacteria could have gotten in there and then into your entire urinary tract.  Having the urgency to urinate often is also another sign of a urinary tract infection, as well as the pain.

go to your doctor, preferably your gynecologist (mainly becuase they are "more in tune" with the female body" and they'll be able to tell you for sure.  They will probably do a "pee" test where you provide a urine sample and they test it for certain bacterias and they may also want to do a visual exam to see if there is actually any injurty to the area.

Fortunately, urinary tract infections, IF CAUGHT EARLY ENOUGH, are usually very easy to treat wiht a simply antibiotic.  However, if you do have a UTI, you don't want to let it go too long without treatmnet, because it can then travel to your kidneys and cause a kidney infection, which is much more serious (and could possibly end you in the hospital).

So please go see your doctor - and feel better!

The best way i can describe the feeling is it feels like someone is pinching or pressing the part of the vagina where the pee comes out.
