What is healthy ?

I have worked really hard do remove all Soda,Candy, Sweets, Pastas, Breads,Potatoes, and fried food. I have always been concerned about my weight but far more so about my health. I have a crazy fast metabolism and get hungry every 15-20 min regardless of what I eat. I recently was tested and I am at 12% body fat I'm 5"8 and weigh 125, but my weight seems like its always changing, plus or minus 10 lb. I eat mostly chicken, fish, fruit, and veggies, which are all super delicious! I have intense workouts twice a week, and moderate work outs 3 times a week with two days of light work outs, but I am always active. Still I really like having goals. Sometimes they are about weight other times my diet, what is a good healthy weight/ body fat % to aim for ? I dont want to work toreds somthing that would be bad for me.

I would ask a good, qualified nutrionalist this question, they can help you know exactly what you should be, also, a physician that specializes in sports medicine might be of some help.

Keep up the good work, looks like you are on the right track.

I think most experts would say that your body fat is pretty low.  :>)  Getting into the 'too low' category. For your height, you may be a bit under weight as well.  I would add a bit of healthy fat to your diet, nuts, avocado, etc.  If you are eating all the time, eat a bit of this calorie laden food that has health benefits.  Make sure you aren't exercising too much.

I'd consider talking to a nutritionist.  good luck

I think that it's super awesome that you have given up all that stuff. You are eating all the right foods and you exercise quite often make sure you have your rest days to allow your body to recuperate. Don't obsess over what body fat perecent is right for you. As long as you eat well and workout you shouldn't worry about your weight. Remember that muscle weight more than fat so I wouldn't obsess with what the scale says. As long as you feel that you look good and your happy with the way you are that's all that matters. And it seems that you are very fit so I wouldn't concentrate on body fat % just keep up the good work and enjoy a healthy lifestyle.

Best wishes
