White Finger Nails

White Finger Nails

I was out with my kids today and noticed that they have white finger nails.  I know that nails are an indication of health.  They are 6 and 4.  I am wondering if this could be a sign of anemia or something else.  Their biological father died suddenly a few years ago of Leukemia.  Any thoughts.  Thanks in advance.

I would bring them into their doctor and have bloodwork done. anemia could be caused by a few different things. they say most kids are anemic. my 10 year was, however he didn't have the white finger nails.
I just googled white fingernails and it said it could be kidneys, or anemia or if they have pink toward the bottom it could mean lover. thisis why I suggested a doctors appt. you can never be too cautious anymore.
good luck

Could be zinc and/or calcium deficiency, which is cured with just a few diet changes.
