hi
this is a test designed to see if one area of her heart suffered or is suffering form lack of blood supply, which means coronary heart disease
the test is safe but a lot of radiation, like 300 chest xrays, but is very important if questions regarding existence of coronary heart disease will affect the treatment of your aunt.thalium is a material with radioactive properties, injected to the vein and then is absorbed by heart muscle, so we can see how good the heart muscle recieve blood.
