Wrist issues

  Hi,

   My wrist has been acting up for a while.  I honestly don't feel like it's carpel tunnel.  I've read up on it & I don't have those symptoms.  
My Symptoms........
   When I lay my hand flat, facing up.......(about an inch past the bend in my wrist)......I have a vein that is crossing the median nerve.   I can see when it's worse.   It crosses the median nerve & feels like it is cutting off circulation to my arm.   My arm then starts to ache.  It's a deep ache & shaking my arm does help as does raising my arm & holding it up.  
   I don't have this issue on the left side.  The vein is traveling the same direction as the nerve.  

   Does this sound like carpel tunnel to you?   I hate to have that surgery & it be something else.
