bad headache a few days after drinking, due to alcohol or the mini pill?

I drank heavily on tuesday night and woke up in hospital since I had passed out. I had a really bad headache wednesday evening and thought it was just due to the hangover but now its friday and I still have a headache. Its quite bad, yesterday it was more like a migraine and today its slightly better but still pretty bad. Why is this and is this normal. I also started the mini pill wednesday and didnt know if this could have had an effect

Hello,

It could be a combination of the "mini pill" and the alcohol causing the reaction. I would call your pharmacist and ask about certain side-effects and if this is possible. I know that some hormones (including the "pill" can cause headaches, especially if you already have an over-abundance of Estrogen in you, called "Estrogen Dominance" That, too, can cause headaches, so, like I said, ask the pharmacist and even your doctor.

Another cause, you may have some misplaced vertebrae in your neck, this, too can cause the continuous headache. I would suggest seeing either a chiropractor of osteopath, they will be able to help to determine if this is the case.

Hello O8bismuth,
sorry to hear about your incident and headache.
Is it possible that you hit your head when you passed out?
And what are the list of side effects for the new pill you are taking?
If you hit your head even a little bit, it is possible that you became concussed and have a minor concussion. Call your pharmacist and ask about the pill if you can't find it on any sheets they gave you, an call your primary care doctor to check for any other possible causes (dehydration for one.) If you still have no answers, go back up to the hospital and tell them you suspect you may have sustained a concussion. Hope this helps you.
