big red ring round my lip

my lip has always been prone to coldsores and impatigo ect, but I had two spots on my lips, I got some sivirax, and the two spots went down , but after a massive red ring appeared round my lips , it's absolutely awful, not crusty , but I always lick it due to it being dry , any ideas what it is, when it will clear up , and what should I use to help it cure?

Hello~I suggest seeing a dermatologist, he/she may be able to give you something to help with the dryness, etc.  I would imagine he/she might even want to run some tests.

This usually happens to people who put their lips onto a penis (the penis may or may not appear to have red skin) but the penis does spread a skin bacteria it has picked up from having had skin to skin contact with other partner' genitals or mucous membranes. It may only be a vaginal yeast infection because yeast doesn't know the difference between vaginas, penis, or mouth. Vagasil cream applied to the lips for a couple weeks might cure you if you don't have a resistant strain. Whatever you do, don't have skin to skin contact with new partner or go back to the original source because microbes get stronger as they grow deeper into your skin. Don't stop treating it multiple times a day with anti-fungal cream. Take care even to protect your anus from skin to skin contact with others because anus itch can be so bad that you can't sit through work. The reason nobody tells anyone else about all these STDs is because they want others to suffer too. But those social habits we think will give us pleasure, ultimately give us so much pain and suffering that we choose celibacy just to save our lives and our job.
