black stools help!!!

hello everyone,

i am now 5 weeks and 2 days prego. However, i pooped black stools is that normal during pregnacy??

--- pls help!!

also it can be from taking pepto bismol, menthol (anything like that)... I get it all the time from taking reflux/indigestion meds.

No Claudia, That is not normal as Jojers said. The very first thing you need to do when you read this is call your gyno doctor. most likely they will want you to go to the hospital right away. This is very important for you and the baby. I wish you the best!

Black stools are not normal and can indicate large amounts of blood in the stool.
