chest wall contusion
My husband was in a vehicle accident on Mar. 6th. In addition to a wrist fracture and torn ligament in his hand, he suffered what the doctors have called "chest wall contustions" from where the seat belt and/or airbag hit the left side of his chest. He has had a chest x-ray to rule out possible rib fractures. He is still in quite a bit of pain when moving, turning over in bed, and even sometimes when he breathes. Is there any advice you can give for help with the pain and discomfort and how long do these types of injuries take to heal?
