cold leg child

cold leg child

My son of 4 and a half years old sometimes suffers from cold legs. It has now happened about 4 times in the past 2 months. It also happened once last summer 2008. Generally when he has had a very active / intensive day. He does have low levels of iron (seen in blood exams). Twice it was one leg only, the other 2 times both legs. They do not feel cold touching the skin and the temperature currently where we live is 30 °C... thus hot (we live in the North of Italy)!

What can it be? Have been to various pediatricians but they say it's just an isolated event....

Thank you in advance for your help.

I did some searching on the Internet, and I really can not find anything that might help. I have one suggestion, that would be to see a chiropractor, if a vertebrae is out of alignment somewhere along the spine near his hip or legs, this might be the cause. Also, has his thyroid levels been checked?

This is all I really know, hope it helps some.
