food intake

i have to swallow my food in lumps at the moment as i have no upper teeth after having them out.i have had problems with my gums and will have to wait for 3 weeks before i can put my new dentures in.could you please tell me if this is going to damage me in any way.i need to know because i have not been passing stools as often as i used to.could this be the reason ? hope you can put my mind at rest.thankyou

Sorry but I have no idea. I am not a doctor, I am in my first year of Nutrition and that is why I  could answer your first question.

thanks for that .could you tell me why when i lay on my back and raise my right leg i get a click noise in the back of my neck but when i raise my left leg there is no click.have i got a bad spine.?

what do you mean by lumps? Large chunks? It will slow down the digestion process but it will not harm you. Because it will take digestion longer it will make your stools not as regular but it should not effect them that much. You should try eating more fruits, vegetables, and whole wheat foods. Make sure the "lumps" don't have any sharp corners because it could cause cuts and nicks in the throat that may be painful.
