That would need to be answered by the prescribing doctor.  He/She may say fine.  Did they not know about the pain med when the aspirin was prescribed? Potential problems include: Ibuprofen and Aspirin are both NSAIDS.  NSAIDS can act as mild blood thinners, cause problems with the lining of the stomach, and are contraindicated in persons with renal insufficiency.  Also the arginine component of the pain med can also potentiate the blood thinning action of the ibuprofen.  But only your doctor knows your full health history and can determine what medications are best. Good luck

This is really a question for your cardiologist, but I'd venture to say "yes".

Ibuprofen and aspirin are both NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti0inflammatory drugs), but they work in different ways.

Ibuprofen does a fantastic job relieving swelling, whereas aspirin works at thinning the blood. If you're on aspirin, it's to keep it from clotting and instigating a blockage. So, my thoughts? Yes. You need to keep it up. However, talk to your cardiologist and maybe a pharmacist about possible interactions.
