I AM MALE 45 Y OLD , MY BP IS MOSTLY IS 135/91 IN SITTING POSITION AND  IN LYING DOWN POSITION 127/82 OR MAY 120/80  MMHG IN MOST OF TIME .
I DONOT HAVE ANY OTHER MEDIAL PROBLEM OR RISK FACTOR EXCEPT MY STRONG FAMILY HISTORY OF CVS DISEASES .
WILL YOU GUID ME WHICH POSITION FOR BP RECORDING SHOULD BE OBTAINED ?
IF YOU CONCIDER  ME AS HYERTENSIVE MAN , WHAT TYPE OF DRUG WILL YOU SUGGESTED FOR STARTING MY MEDICATION .?

Hello,

First an ideal reading for a bp is 120/80 and lower.  Usually bp readings are obtained after 10-15 mins of resting in a sitting position then checked in both arms.  Did you check your own bp at home or was this checked by a physician?

Secondly, a serial of readings are obtained before prescribing medications; meaning 2-4 weeks worth of daily bp readings to get a trend.  

Thirdly, 135/91 is higher than a bp should be.  That is the reason for obtaining several readings to see if the bp is consistently high.      

Fourthly, you should definitely have your medical phyisican monitoring the bps.
