SassyLassie might have been on the right track.  Always check with a health care professional, they can do a workup for you to see if any medical problems exist.  I am like
you, but have no existing medical problems. Have seen an increase in weight around middle,
constant tension headaches that don't go away without popping pills, general sluggishness,
yeah. Even some female monthly issues, and joints hurting.  These are all general symptoms
of estrogen dominance in the body. (Look up info under that title on your search site.)
Body is poisoned with everyday things like chemicals from hairsprays, using plastics, dryer
sheets, and tons of bad chemicals (you can get a list) and combined with poor diet (me)
and no exercise.  Do drink lots of water (not soda) and look up a list of foods that can help
detoxify your body (veggies and such that are better) and don't use plastics in the micro-
wave(puts off chemicals you can ingest)  I am starting this the last few months, and at
least the headaches are letting up, it may take a while.  It can't hurt to try ridding the
body of everyday toxins, maybe some small steps can help.

It could be thyroid disease. May want to get some basic tests done by your doctor. There are many possibilities for these symptoms. Don't let it continue, act now and see a doctor.

Are you drinking enough water? Are you eating balanced meals? Are you taking good vitamin/mineral supplements? It sort of sounds like adrenal exhaustion.

If you continue to feel this way, and you are doing all of the above, I would see your physician and have some blood work done to determine just what the cause might be.
