is SGPT level 49 alarming?

Hi, my latest blood test shows the value above., when refrence value is 0-41. i am 53 yo and is on glucose reduction, cholesterol reduction and blood tension reduction agents. is any of tese agents a direct cause? I was on an antibiotic cure after a tooth implant. could this have been the cause? yet 3 weeks elapsed between the date of cure end and blood test. What need i do? Thank you.

Cholesterol medications are notorious for elevating SGPT/ALT.  ATBs can as well elevate this lab as herinsis stated.  Your HDL and LDL are not too bad at this time.
You sound like a typical Diabetic Type II.    

I would have the lab/SGPT repeated as directed by your physician.  It is not terribly high at this time, but should be monitored.
