jammed finger-do i go to a doctor

I jammed my finger on wed. and have been unable to see a doctor due to lack of insurance.  My finger bends (not completely or with ease) and the swelling went down considerably after the first day.  However there is a little numbness and swelling and the underside of the middle knuckle (the one that i believe got the blow) is very purple and bruised.  Do i need to just relax and give it time or should i seek out a free clinic.  I'm waiting because it's an all day process at the clinics and i currently can't take the time off.  Any help would be great!  Thanks.

I have jammed two things before my thumb and right big toe. On my finger I was jumping a wood fence with my 15 year old cousin and I fell hard on my thumb. He takes a look and thinks its jammed. He takes out his phone to search up symptoms and I had them all. He tells me" oh ****. I think it's jammed. The only way is to take it back out by pulling  it back out "and I'm not going to lie when it was still jammed and when he unjammed it it felt like a ******* bullet had went through it. And I say" son of a b**** dude, just hurry up" he pulls it back out and me and him heard 2-3 loud pops and it came out. 3 months it was sore.

Hope it feels better now , not much they can do with fingers ,kind of wrap them, like with toes or strap them together,if you can get to a clinic it would make you feel better but perhaps if you cant wrap it up frimly and let it heal.
