left side tongue got painful bump

Hello,

it started last week- I woke with burning tongue, mainly on the tip of the tongue. I used Listerine (alcohol free) mouthwash to subside the inflammation, it didn't help much, and after 2 days I felt slight pain in left side of tongue. I rushed to the walk in clinic. The Dr confirmed my tongue looked bruised and prescribed Oracort paste (3 times per day), it actually worsened the condition, and now I can see a bump at the site, which is actually painful.

I can't eat very well, almost gave up all food.

I am thinking to see my Doctor.

Anyone who has been through this painful experience; please share!!
Many thanks!
