losing weight (no reason)

my mom recently lose weight without reason. She has depression for almost 10 years, but this weight loss thing just occured recently.
Generally she doesn't feel anything uncomfortable, however, what kind of tests should she ask doctor to run in order to make sure there is nothing wrong with her .

He will know what tests but an obvious one is a Blood testfor Diabetes  also aT hyroid test. She may have not been eating as much as you think if shes depressed, if she is on Meds for that she could loose wieght also, and sometimes they put on weight.Ask her if she has other Symptoms , does she work and keep busy.She has you and you are caring enough to come here to get some input .Hope she does better soon.
