low blood count

I have not felt well for about two weeks.  It started with a fever for 5 days, and was followed by a bad cough.  I went to the doctors and they took my blood.  My white blood count cam back at 2.8, which is very low.  A few days later I woke up with swollen hands and joint pain through out my body.  I also have swollen lymph nodes in my neck.  I have been very tired and weak...in and out of bed for two weeks.  I have had no weight loss.  The doctor seem to think it is a virus.  My blood pressure is also very low. Strep test came back neg. urine test also came back neg. I was also tested for auto immune diseases..this also came back neg. Does anybody have any thoughts on my condition?   I feel like I am running in place with no direction!!   Thanks, Jen

Okay, so I wrote about how I had a fever and joint pain.  I went to several doctors and I finally figured out what I have....Fifths disease!  Children often get this with no problems.  When adults get this virus it can be very painful.  Most doctors won't even think to test you for this.  There is a blood test, they can test you for the parvovirus B19. Again, I had a low grade fever, very tired, joint pain, swollen hands....and no energy.  I have had it for about 3 weeks and I am out of bed, but I still get very tired when I do my everyday activities.  Good luck to whom ever gets this!
