low grade Fever in 3 yr old

my 3 year old has been running a low grade fever (99.8 to 101.8) for over 10 days.  We took her to the Drs 4 days ago and was tested for flu, strep, and rsv which all came back negative.  Yesterday she started saying her "brain" hurt.  she has a runny nose, crusty/buggery eyes and cough along with the fever.

I am an over reactive mom anyway but, when the brain hurts? That could be her way of saying she has a headache. But having a temp for more than 3 days can cause long term brain damage that may not be noticed till later on when she goes to school. Be on the safe side please. This is your baby-girl sweetie! Go to an ER. A Childrens Hospital if possible. Best wishes and please let us know that she is ok! I will say a prayer for you. -Marebear

I forgot to add something.
The cough might be connected with scretion leaking from the nose in the air pathway causing the cough.
Keeping the nose clean can ease and in much of the cases even resolve cough related complications.
Please also consider a allergy.

Hello,
This condition is strange.
You should make tests and by that i have a few suggestions.
Visit a ENT specialist!
Your child might have fungus and bacterial infections.
A virosology test for Meningitis should be conducted Pronto.
But from the symptoms you describe, it can be:
Simple cold, candida infection, streptococci infections and etc.
But Never the less, please make sure you exclude meningitis first.
After that a microbiological analysis should be done with nasal and throat secretions.
Be sure to visit a ENT specialist and please insist on him checking the ears using DIAGNOSTIC MICROSCOPY!
Please if needed you can also make an X-ray on the nasal cavities.
The condition is also often connected with Rhinitis.

All stated above is done and prescribed by ENT Specialist.
Please be advised that you should do this NOW, as these conditions might lead to complications.

You can ease the symptoms however:
Clean the nose using Physiological Spray Solution ( sea watter)
Spray this in to the Nose , wait 1 min, vac the nose using s soft squise nasal pump if the child is not able to blow his nose.
This spray is a physiological solution and can be used over a longer period of time, but be warned that it contains small amounts of salts.
After the nose is clean you can use some of the children nasal sprays like 0.05% of Olynth( can be used up to 2 times a day for 5 Days MAX)  BUT if you already have used xylometazoline sprays, please stick to the physiological spray only.
It is essential to keep the nasal cavity clean.
Please consult a ENT specialist, as he can give you a treatment according to the current state of the condition and nature of the disease.
To me it sounds like a fungus or bacterial infection.
please be advised that these have proved to be resilient and can last for months and even years, causing all kind of havoc on ones body if left untreated.
