Hello all.

I took 2 extra strength tylenol early in the day yesterday, then a 30ml dose of benylin all-in-one syrup at 7:41. 6 hours later I took another dose of Benylin. This morning, between 10-12 I took another dose of Benylin after I noticed it wasn't doing anything. Around 4:45pm I decided to take 2 of the tylenol again. I am just wondering if this is approaching a dangerous amount of acetaminophen and whether I should be worried about liver problems. I spoke to a pharmacist and she said I should be ok.

I will clarify that these were taken over the span of 24 hours, and I later realized that they are very very close to the daily dosage max of 4g as well as the individual dose + period of time between dosages.

The max dose of acetaminophen is 4 Gm/day (4000 mg).  The lethal dost is considered to be 6-10 Gm.  Even the 4 Gm per day dose can cause liver damage over an extended period of time.
