muscle cramping

muscle cramping

I take a multi vitamin, 5000 unit of calcium and VD, and potassium in a supplement and occasional banana and STILL continue to have muscle cramps daily. I hardly get them at nights it during the day just moving around. They are in odd places, not your usual calf. Its all over. What else can I do to help with this?? I stretch when the cramps come and breath through it till they stop but they keep on coming!  Help!!!

I would certainly recommend a product called "Natural Calm plus Calcium" It is a powder that you mix with water, it is effervescent and it works very well for muscle cramps and other related problems. It has both Magnesium and Calcium in it in the proper amounts, plus, potassium, which can also cause the muscle cramps. Vitamin D3 is included to help with the assimilation.

If they do not get better, I would certainly see your doctor. You say the cramps are not in the usual places, well, that should be checked and a few tests should be run as well to rule out anything serious.

I hope this helps, good luck.

Are your Magnesium and Sodium levels ok?

I have druken tonic water in the past for muscle cramps and it helped me.

You should definitely be consulting your physician about this.

Are you also adding Magnesium to the mix? They work WONDERFULLY in combination. The recommended ratio is 2:1 (basically half). So, for you, you should take 2,500 Magnesium WITH the 5,000vCalcium ~ I am assuming this is in milligrams...... Or in a combination supplement CAL/MAG. Taking that much Calcium alone (without Mag) may be useless to you. Good Luck to you!

~ I am NOT a licensed physician, please do not construe this suggestion for Medical advice~
