pain after endoscopy

My mom has an endoscopy this past week and she has been having severe pain from upper stomach up to her throat.  She can hardly breath, eat and drink.   She has been nauseated and even vomitted. It also hurts worse when she eats, drinks, and breaths.. When she swallow it feels like the food gets stuck right there at the sternum.  Please help.  What has gone wrong in the procedure.   What should I do?  What will I give her to ease her pain?

Sounds like this could be complications r/t the Endo.  She NEEDS to seek emergent care.  They can notify her physician that did the procedure while she is being assessed.

she needs to go and see her Gastroenterologist that did the procedure, or at least page him/ his partner (as it's the week-end). It is common to have a sore throat but this seems excessive..... call her doctor!
