A daily quality vitamin table should be sufficient.  Start any time. I would not take any special supplements, with the exception of a daily D3, if you don't go out in the sunlight very much.

The one thing I would drink no alcohol nor take antibiotics unless advised by a physician who knows you are pregnant (and even then avoid them) and get a check-up by a physician as soon as possible and have her provide advice until the baby comes. If you have no money go see a social worker at a local hospital who will set you up with a free clinic.

Most doctors recommend taking a pre-natal vitamin if you are trying to conceive.  You don't need to wait until you have conceived.  Best of luck to you!
