putrid smell coming from my son's nose

hi. My 3 year old son has had so many infections since birth and had whooping cough at 6weeks old. He's generally fine in him self now but does get frequent colds which i treat with paracetamol if needed and a vapour rub. But he keeps getting a very blocked nose and the smell from it is revolving especially in the morning. The stuff which comes from his nose is often dark green or brown and bloody. What is this?

in the past i have taken him to the doc over this problem and the doc says without a temperature, he doesn't have an infection and will not prescribe antibiotics.

I really don't think that's true because I've had many sinus infections without running a temperature.
It sounds like you need to take him to see another Dr. Take care. Remar
