return of facial cyst after removal

return of facial cyst after removal

on 8/13/09 i had a cyst removed from my forehead. it was dime sized and had been there for 1 year. i followed the docs orders exactly-taking the antibiotic and motrin, keeping it clean and using neosporin. the stitches were removed 1 week after the cyst was removed, and at first i thought part of the swelling just needed to go down. Now, it is obvious that the cyst is back. when removed the doc kept saying he got it all, then went back in for the sac. why did it come back? i do not have ins. so paying to get this thing removed again is going to be difficult. is there anything i can do to help it go away on its own?

Well, I hate to tell you sebaceous cyst are difficult to rid of sometimes.  I have had
one myself.  My mother gets them frequently too.  They do like to pop up in the same
areas from time to time unfortunately.  Yes, dermatologist can be expensive especially without insurance.  All you can do is keep the area clean and hope it doesn't come back.
If the physician got the core of it you have a better chance of no more problems, but that doesn't mean no more will occur.  See if your physician can prescribe something topical
that you can apply to that area you are having problems with; your face.  Good luck.
