rise in sgpt and sgot

r/sir,
i m 42 years female suffering hypertension , hypothyroidism and arthritis since last 10 years. weight 82 kg. discovered SLE two years back with kidney involvement. taking drugs like leflunomide 20 mg per 24 hour. since last one month.fiteen days back i  tested sgot level 24 and sgpt level 33, which rose to 61 and 85 respectively after 20 days i.e tested on 27-07-09.though  having no adverse symptoms of any kind.
          medicines being taken madrol 4 mg daily , Methotraxate 2 mg. per 50 ml. (8.8 ml weekly injectible subcutaneous). non steroidal antiinflammatory 2000 mg. per day.eltroxin 150 mg per day, calcium + antioxidants.
whether increase in my sgot and sgpt level is becoz of introduction of LEFLUNOMIDE (immunosuppresive)
please guide what to do for reducing the level of sgot and sgpt respy,

It appears that your liver is working harder, and I would imagine it is due to all the prescription drugs you are taking. I would ask the pharmacist or doctor what to do and if decreasing some of the dosages would help.
