small bump on forehead

small bump on forehead

recently there is a small bump developed right above my left temple, its really quite sore, and is red. the lump is noticeable but just looks like a zit i've popped due to colour and appearance.however the lump not overly sensitive like an ingrown hair or zit, i know its not an ingrown hair, had enough of those to know how they work and how to get rid of them and how the pain feels with the sensitivity of them. it isn't a zit either, i've tried to pop this and its just a hard small bump that hurts when i do touch/apply pressure on it, but its not externally sensitive like a zit/ingrown hairs. It started off feeling tender like a bruise, but i have not hit my head recently ...i'd like to know the possibilities of even close to what i may be dealing with and avoiding spending 3 hours in the after hours clinic. I've had this bump since at least 1 week if not a little more and its still tender and red and a hard lump. i its not easy covering up a bump so visible on your head. especially between temple and brow area. any suggestions on what it could possibly be.i'm looking to find out information about tunraround times before i should be worried that this isn't going/gone away, and i will not presume i have anything, i'm just curious if there should be any reason for concern since its still sore and doesn't appear to be getting better or going away, and it hard to not poke and prod at it since its a nuisance. i know that if i just call telehealth (over the phone with RN's) they will just tell me to seek medical attention within the next 24hrs.
