stomach

I have a small knot on the rightside of my belly button about 8 to 10 inches away from it. I does not hurt if I press it and no discomfort. What can it be I'm worried.

It is probably an Umbilical Hernia.  You probably have had the weakening in that area since birth and it is now bulging outward/herniated- is where the intestines push out through a small tear in the lining.  

Nothing may ever be required for treatment as long as you don't start having problems, such as pain, the area getting bigger-all of them do have a tendency to get larger slowly or if signs of strangulated intestines becomes apparent.   But until repaired it will always be there and has a possibility of reoccurring after that if the mesh cloth they use in repair comes loose of you lift too much weight or strain and tear it again.   I Hope This Helps
