swelling at inj site

i had on hand a solu-medrol had my boyfriend give me  inj 1.5cc Im glute but he gave it too me about 1 inch to the left and now i have swelling at the site about the size of a quarter i am a nursing student and try to walk him through it and made sure he aspirated will i be ok??? should i take anything

You should be ok.

As Caregiver222 mentioned, try icing the site.  Also, you can take an oral OTC NSAID, i.e. Motrin.  Solu-Medrol is viscous and can cause this kind of local reaction.  

If it does not resolve in 5 days, I would have a physician assess it.

Yeah. You'll be O.K..

There is nothing specific to take. Cold compresses will help.

There is a remote chance of infection, so watch it over the next few days for signs of redness.
