It is probably linked to your COPD
I have asthma and Emphysema, cardiologist found nothing wrong with my heart during my recent echo. My ankles swell so badly it feels like the skin will just split apart, I have stretch marks on my feet! I'm virtually crippled as I have no movement in my ankles when theyre that bad, going up or downstairs is nigh on impossible without ankle movement.
You have a better BP than me although mine is still within the normal range 120-130 /70-80
I can't offer anything more than I already have based on the way I cope with it but I do know exactly how you feel
My BP is 107/72 My pulse rate is 72 My cardio. dr. says there is no fluid around my heart. I do have COPD and I use symbicort twice daily. There are no other health problems
It has got to be fluid that for whatever reason is not being dispersed back around the body (inactivity, lung and heart problems usually being responsible) Have you any other health problems diagnosed or undiagnosed?
What fluid tablets have you had prescribed? I'm having similar problems but Dr's don't seem too concerned as they never see them at the end of the evening when my ankles are 3 inches bigger than they are at the start of the day.
Fluid tablets do work but only limitedly. I have found that limiting fluids, sleeping with my feet elevated and wearing medium strength (very fetching) support tights works best.
Try the above but push your Dr. for a reason for the oedema. Basic heart and lung tests should be almost routine with pitting oedema.
