throbbing headaches

I have been experiencing throbbing headaches at the back of my head (right side) for quite sometime now, maybe 6 months... It usually occurs at noon just before retiring from work and lasts for 2 - 4 hours until bedtime...Can anyone please help me about this cause everytime I go to the doctor, all my blood tests are normal... I have been taking Micardis 40mg and Lercanidipine 10 mg for my hypertension since December 2008..Also I am working as a Draftsman...Thank you..

When I sit too long at the computer, hold the phone to one ear with my shoulder raised, or sit wrong in a chair, my entire upper back and neck hurt. I go to my chiropractor and he helps so much, this might help you as well. When our nerves get pinched, we can have kinds of pain and troubles.

A seemingly silly question...Do you hold a phone to one ear (or scruntch it on your shoulder) constantly? Is the right side of your neck sore at the base of your skull? Are you sitting in such a position that you are hunched or uneven in your chair or on your stool? Does the pain occur on days off as well? This could be caused by a "mechanical" issue (muscle fatigue, spinal dislignment) that may be relieved by massage therapy, frequent breaks that involve relaxation movements, or a visit to a chiropractor...-I hope this helps! ~MM

Hi...it is possible that ur hypertension is the cause of ur Ha's.....and the position u r in for ur job.

Take to ur dr about the HA's and if ur meds need to be adjusted as well as ur chair at work.

Having ur head bent down too long with the other issue u already have will play a part in this...try adjusting ur seat and ur drafting table to try diff angles to see if it helps.

good luck and please post an update : )
