what causes tongue soreness?

Towards the night on April 23 my tongue started to feel sore, like the muscles in my tongue felt sore. There were no sores on the surface of my tongue.
In the morning of April 24 the soreness went down, like it was almost going away but not entirely. I had a cup of coffee before I noticed the soreness relieving.
However towards the evening I went out with some friends and had a beer, I had been laughing during that time too. On the way home I noticed the soreness coming back little by little. When I came home it was back, it was somewhat difficult to swallow food.
This morning April 25th the soreness subsided again, but I could still feel it was barely there.
I did some lifting or a workout, deadlifts and calf raises. Then towards the evening I hung out with some friends, there was constant laughing. Finally I come home. It is 11:23 pm and the soreness is back.
I'm drinking some warm tea mixed with honey (I had warm tea mixed with honey as well the night before)
I've been looking up possible reasons why my tongue is sore and it's scaring me.

I listed out my days because in them I think the things I might have done during those days might be what's keeping my tongue from getting out of soreness.

I also noticed there is a red spot inside the top of my mouth. I'm so worried. :(

Please help, I need to talk to someone.

Another possibility could be something called "thrush". Although your symptoms are a little left of center it could be a normal reaction for you. Thrush is also called candidiasis, which is just a fungal infection in the mouth from an overproduction or growth of yeast. Good luck and I hope to see a follow up post!

My mother has a sore tongue at the moment which is getting better since she has stopped drinking milk. She has a casein (milk protein) intolerance and she can only handle drinking so much milk before symptoms show up. Up to 3 in 4 people are affected by food intolerance; the four main types of food intolerance are dairy, fructose, yeast and gluten. I have lactose intolerance myself.

Red_Star has a good point. Sadly there really is no fast way to test this besides cutting out your normal dairy intake. Try buying "A2 Milk" which is real milk from a certain cow that does not produce the A1 (Casein) protein. If symptoms subside then you may have figured it out.
