The uvula can also swell from viral and bacterial infections.

Glad that things have settled down and you are feeling better.

If you are ill with vomiting and diarrhea, that too can lead to dehydration.

Dehydration can make you feel dizzy and your brain may feel foggy or you may get a headache.

Remember to always drink plenty of fluids throughout the day.  More if you are sweating through illness and working out, to replace the fluid that is lost through sweating.

Best wishes.

You may have a bacterial or viral infection and you need to see your doctor to check you over so that you can get the correct diagnosis and treatment if the doctor feels that you require it.

For the dehydration, what this means is that you have not been drinking enough fluids.

Make sure that you drink plenty of water and fruit juices and soups, eat fresh fruit and vegetables (these contain fluids).

If you notice that your urine is a dark colour this is a good indication that you are not drinking enough.  Cut out or cut down on alcohol and caffeinated drinks like cola, tea and coffee because these act as diuretics and can dehydrate you.

Your urine should be a like straw colour - then you know your body is not dehydrated.

Best wishes.
