what should i do now?

Hi! So about 5 months ago i was playing basketball and had very sharp pain in my foot and ankle. I went to the doctor and they diagnosed me with tendonitis. About a month later it was no better so they sent me for physical therapy and i was diagnosed with something called sinus tarsi syndrome. I went back after another 6-8 weeks and they gave me a cortisone shot. The shot worked for about 2 weeks, i was cleared to get back to everything, but the pain began to return. I went back to the doctor they put me in a walking boot and sent me for an mri. The mri results came back normal and so now my doctor basically doesnt believe me and just cleared me to go back to everything without even having me come in. There is still pain and now im not sure what to do because the doctor doesnt believe me and neither do my parents

Hi - I really feel for your situation - your profile does not say how old you are - if your foot hurts, then you have to refuse to do the sports on the grounds that it will affect you in the future - you know your body better than anyone else. You may have be ornery about it - you will have to insist that you are worried about the long term consequences of their decisions about your foot.  You are fortunate to live in times where people can consider that you have an opinion - when I was young, you just did what they told you and didn't complain. - sometimes it was good, and oftentimes, it was not
