Can Amniocentesis give a definitive answer for Mosaic?

A CVS test has confirmed mosiac trisomy 18 present in my placenta.  Numerous scans (16 weeks is the latest) has shown no physical abnormalities in the fetus.  Amniocentesis has been recommended to confirm that the fetus is unaffected.  However due to the nature of a mosaic (does not affect all cells by definition) can this test give a result with 100% confidence that the fetus is either affected or not?  Surely it can only tell if the skin does not contain the mosaic?
