DiGeorge

Hi, my son is 21yrs and he has DiGeorge with VCS. He is now losing his hair. I want to know is losing his hair is part of the disease. He is being treated with steroids shot to the head. I'm a little concern and wonder if he hair will ever grow back. He starting losing his hair for about a year now. The doctors can't tell me why his is losing his hair only that maybe the steroids shot will help.

Losing hair is not a common feature of deletion 22q11.2 syndrome. As you are probably already aware, there are many, varying features and symptoms associated with deletion 22q11.2 syndrome.
