Forumula Allergies

My question is if i was allergic to formula when i was an infant and could only drink Prosobe is that genetic?  I tried to ask my midwives but they completely avoided the question and said breastfeed.  I understand breastfeeding is better.  But i want to know if the formula allergy can be passed onto my son.

I am sorry that I cannot completely answer your question in this form.  Allergic diseases are caused by both genetic and environmental factors.   A positive family history of some allergies can increase the risk for your child to develop allergies.
