I Feel better knowing more info about my fathers ALS

Thank you for your answer, with all the worry of the uncertainty of today, other challenges that keep coming seem to itensify and cause panic until you stop and realize what situations you really have control over. Since I was and am concerned about my health, since I recently lost my father to ALS, I have found that it is more likely to be SALS than FALS. As far as my family history, no one else on his side has ever had ALS. All my researching has made me realize there are alot of other causes of muscle twitching. It has stopped, I feel It is important to still get a blood test and possibly other tests per my DR..I have contacted alot of family members who think I need anxiety medication for my panic. They all feel good about the fact that ALS is not hereditary in our family. I am the only one worrying and there are 5 kids. My question is: Is it possible for any of us 5 kids to get ALS or could it skip one or two and not another sibling, even though 2 of my fathers neurologists said it was Sporadic. Lisa V
