Xrays without shield

Hello, I had two bite wing xrays done when I was three
days pregnant without an apron. I didn't know that I
was pregnant then until I just had my first ultrasound
and it confirmed the date of conception. Is the baby
going to be okay?

According to the American College of American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), being exposed to a single procedure during pregnancy is not associated with harmful effects to the pregnancy. Specifically, exposure to less than 5 rad [50 mGy] has not been associated with an increase in fetal anomalies or pregnancy loss. Thank you for your comments. I did have other bitewing xrays in my first month but the dental assistant used a shield for all of those. How many rads are in bite wings? I wish I would have known I was pregnant to ask her to put the shield on. It has been a few years since I had teeth xrays and I figured the dental assistant knew what she was doing. i hope the baby will be okay.
