homozygous A1298C mutation

homozygous A1298C mutation

I have just been diagnosed with homozygous A1298C mutation after several miscarriages.  My physician put me on ASA 81mg qd, Folic Acid 4mg qd, and Prenatal Vitamin.  My concern after reading on this mutation is birth defects.  What is the probability of having birth defects when taking the medication?

Taking prenatal vitamins and some folic acid are generally recommended during pregnancy. We recommend that you speak with your physician regarding the risks versus benefits of low dose aspirin as well as increased folic acid intake. Best wishes to you!
