Can one find out through a home paternity test in less than 14 days/2 weeks that you are pregnant

Is it also possible to give birth to a healthy over 3kg baby 28 days before your due date with no complications at birth.

A woman in her late 30's is accussing my fiance to be the father of her son. He met her 1 day and took her as a friend nothing more as she is a woman nearly the same age as his mother and I truly trust my fiance. I know in my heart he will never hurt me but that's besides the point though. He never again saw her after the one day that they met and about 12-13 days later she called him to say that she's pregnant and the baby is his. He couldn't understand as he never ever was intimate with anyone but me. Her son's now almost 4years old. She even threatened me and our son's life and that the ring on my finger doesn't mean anything to her. He then requested from 2008 till now 2010 for a paternity test which she is refusing. The other day she took him to court for money and he requested through the maintenance officer a paternity test and she was so furious that the court ordered for a test to be done (against her will of course). So I'm so afraid of the outcome. I hope its not his.

So that is why I want to know if she might have been pregnant before she even met my fiance and doesn't know who the father is because usually most people find out at about 6 weeks. What do you guys think?

Hey, first off, NO. It's not possible to get a result on a paternity test that early.

first, it takes around 2 weeks for a positive pregnancy test AFTER ovulation and the first genetic test that can be done to check paternity has to be done at 11-13 weeks pregnancy and is called a CVS which is similar to an amniosentesis.

I'd be pretty certain that if your hubby's dates are right that the baby  is not his.

And yes it is possible to give birth to a baby of around 3kg 4 weeks early.  My son was 5 and a half pounds and a month early, had he been a "typical" baby who grew normally he would've been heavier and gone home with me right away because his lungs were normal and healthy (he has down syndrome and had holes in his heart among other problems)

our 2nd son was 6 pounds 5 oz (almost 3kg) and was born at 16 days early and was perfectly healthy.

I currently found out i was pregnant at only two weeks. It showed up posistive on a home pregnancy test. I then had my doctor perform a blood test and it showed up there as well. The paper work shows a gestation age chart of <1 week 5-50 mIU/mL  1-2 weeks 50-500 mIU/mL   2-3weeks 100-5000 mIU/mL 3-4weeks 500-10000 mIU/mL and ect.... So blood test can deffently check for early pregnancy even at one week, and most over the counter home pregnancy test mesure at about 50 mIU/mL though you can order some off websites that read as low as 20 mIU/mL. I don't know if this women is telling the truth; probably not, but you can find out you are preganant even in the first two weeks.

babydoll~ She was also asking about the paternity test too. your right, women can have an early pregnancy test show up positive very early.  I had forgotten that my 2nd pregnancy I got a positive on CBD brand with an HCG level of 27...  I've had amnios with both babies for other reasons and looked into CVS for those same reasons and these days those are the only tests done before a baby is born for paternity. :)  So your definitely right about the early positives on pregnancy tests (and blood tests esp.)

THANK YOU SO MUCH ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR HELPFUL ANSWERS!!! I REALLY APPRECIATE IT. Oh and oooops, I made a slight mistake in the wording, I actually meant pregnancy test instead of paternity test. I really do apologize. I'm just so worked up I just wanna know the truth. I'm sorry. Thanks again you guys.
