MTHFR Hetero A 1298 C

by Kawtar, Nov 09, 2009 05:39PM
I am 35years old. I have had 3 IVF to tryon having a baby..3 failures. I have been recently diagnosed with 1 copy MTHFR Heterozygote A 1298C. Pleas I am lost and very scared...should I see a gentician or an hematologist to help me with a tretment to help conceive.

Does this mutation really interfere with conceiving and how.

Should I take low doses of aspirins or heparine...?

Please give me some help.
Thank you

Yes, it does, along with other problems.  You need to meet with a geneticist to determine your chances of carrying a baby full term, and what, if any teatments are out there.  A geneticist can also discuss any health issues you may have regarding this mutation.  I do wish you luck.
