RE-OCCURRING BLOOD CLOTS NEGATIVE TEST RESULTS

Hi, my mother has a very serious condition that has not been reserched properly, dispite having a nerological problem she has re-occuring blood clots, she has had test for lupas and everything but all come back negative, the blood thinners she is on are not working anymore and the doctors have given up on testing her anymore. She has magior blood clots in her lungs, usine oxygen maks 24hrs a day, she also has a irregular heart beat, she has a sive in the artiry to her heart but this is now blocked. they cannot operate on her because we have been told she will not survive anything. Some of these blood clots have travelled to her brain leaving her confused and doesn't understand the simple things anymore, she is also disabled in a wheel chair. I would like to know having tried so hard are there any rear blood disorders that show up negative? and if anyone can reccomend anything instead of the doctors here leaving her with no treatment. please help.

I am sorry to hear that your mother is having so many problems. There are some genetic conditions that cause an increase risk to develop blood clots. Without knowing the details of your mother’s history, it is not possible to know if testing for any of these is indicated for her. Some inherited forms of thrombophilia include factor V Leiden, prothrombin genetic mutation, protein S deficiency, protein C deficiency, antithrombin deficiency. These tests are available through your doctor and through companies like mine, DNA Direct. I wish you and your mother the best.
