Just a quick answer. Without seeing it, I can't say for sure. I am a pathologist and accidentally hit this site, so i'm just giving you a quick answer.  There are plethora of images of what a normal anal sphincter should look like. If yours has excess tissue, then it could be due to haemorrhoids, which are often painful, especially when you sit down and produce nature's finest--called "brown trout" in some circles.  An alternative-and less pleasant-explanation is that you've gotten a human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, which is classically associated with anal intercourse; such lesions are called condylomas; they're generally painless, and look like lots of little fingers ranging from 1/8 to 3/4 of inch. Only you would know your sexual history. Many condylomas go away on their own, but some don't. I'd recommend that you book an appointment with a gynaecologist to put your mind at rest. If it's an HPV infection, tell your feller that he should stick Elvis someplace else.
