Stillborn baby and genetics

I delivered a stillborn baby boy on May 14th 2008, he was 28 1/2 weeks.  To look at him he looked perfect.  The autopsy showed that the cord was coiled a little bit more than ususal.  My OB just called and has advised me I have an appt to see a genetic specialist on Jan 15th.  Does this mean there will be ongoing problems?  My spouse and I have been trying for another baby since August with no luck as of yet.

Hi,

I had a stillborn baby boy in September of 08, also at 28 weeks and. After many tests they found out that I have C667T genetic mutation which was passed on to me from both of my parents. Apparently because of that there was a blood cloth in the placenta and the baby could not get enough nutrition. I have been taking prenatal vitamins with 1000 ?? folic acid and one baby aspirin a day. Currently I am almost 6 weeks  pregnancy. I hope that helps you. May be your Doctor is just trying to find a reason why your son died so that he can take some precautionary measures when you get pregnant again. I wish you good luck. This is the hardest thing I have ever had to go trough and I am sure it is the same for you.
